What FrunkShow knows about you

Audio you open in FrunkShow is decoded and trimmed by your own browser, and is not uploaded. Drafts and settings stay in your browser too.

The features that would upload a file — save to an account, email a copy, send to a phone — are not built yet.

One cookie, on every page: the session cookie that keeps a signed-in account signed in and protects the forms. It holds a random identifier and nothing else.

No analytics, no advertising pixel, no session recorder, no tag manager. The fonts and images are files on this domain, so no third party is told which pages you read.

An account is an email address that has proved it can receive mail. It holds:

• Your email address.
• When the account was created, confirmed and last used.
• That you confirmed you are 16 or older, and which version of the terms you agreed to.
• The creations you save. Nothing saves into an account yet.

An unconfirmed registration also holds a salted hash of the address you registered from, and it goes when the registration does. The account itself keeps no form of your IP address.

There is no password. Every sign-in is a fresh link, good once and good for 15 minutes; only a hash of it is stored.

The contact form keeps the name you give it, your email address and what you wrote. They become a conversation in my inbox at keocodes.com.

The receipt emails you a private link to that conversation. It does not expire, and anyone who has it can read the thread and add to it.

I keep the thread until I delete it. Nothing removes it on a schedule; asking me to delete it is enough.

A notice or counter-notice records your name, email address, organisation, postal address and phone number where you give them, the work and the material you identify, the statements you make, your typed signature, a hashed form of your connection, your browser string and the time.

I use it to handle the complaint and to apply the repeat-infringer policy, on the basis of my legitimate interest in answering notices.

The procedure sends it on. A counter-notice goes to the person who complained; a notice goes to whoever supplied the material. What you wrote goes with it.

A complaint is a legal record. I keep it while it is open, and afterwards for as long as I need it for the repeat-infringer policy.

The delete button on your account page removes the account, its creations, its conversations, the private link to each one and anything attached to it, and any live sign-in link — immediately, with no cooling-off period and no reactivation.

A copyright notice or counter-notice is the exception. I keep that, and the conversation about it, as a legal record.

A copyright complaint is anonymised there rather than deleted: your name and contact details are removed, and the record of what was claimed and what I did stays.

Copies you have already downloaded are untouched.
